By applying the visual vocabulary and conventions of glorification, history, wealth and prestige to the subject matter drawn from the urban fabric, the subjects and stylistic references for his paintings are juxtaposed inversions of each other, forcing ambiguity and provocative perplexity to pervade his imagery.

A frequent visitor to the New York streets, Paul is passionate about absorbing and drawing inspiration from this most dynamic of cities, hence reflected in this collection of original paintings and prints.
The Landscape Collection portrays the ever-changing light, colour and emotion of nature. Like impressionist painters before him such as Monet, Paul's landscape paintings are painted with visible thick strokes and vibrant colour to create the illusion of the landscape and environment being in constant motion.
The finest cars and motors are presented in all their glory in these motorsports and classic car original paintings. A passionate motor enthusiast, Paul created his Motorsports Collection to celebrate the halcyon days of glamourous British and International motor racing.
Paul creates this striking collection of large-scale contemporary abstract paintings with bold gestural marks and vivid colour to achieve an illusion of depth, vigorous motion, and to ultimately express feeling.
This exhibition is an imposing event that brings together more than 100 original works and objects by the British artist known as Banksy, in a collection that gives an account of his entire production: twenty years of activity that begin with the paintings of the very first phase of his career, up to last year's results with the works from Dismaland.
Art advisors have become an integral part of the art market over the last 20 years, playing a central role in the interactions between many galleries, collectors and artists in New York. As well as gaining in number, art advisors have also expanded in terms of the services they provide, ranging from the more traditional artistic advice (such as what paintings to buy and how to successfully access them) to offering specialized tax, legal and financial advice and investment services. Apart from the knowledge and access they offer, collectors have also noted the benefits of these advisors as being independent from auction houses and dealers, and hence providing more impartial and objective advice on quality and value. Some noted that in other investment markets, buyers would not approach any major investment or purchase without a team of advisors, so therefore see the growth of the role of art advisors as moving in tandem with the increased size of the market, as well as the spending budgets and price points of collectors.
The large "Nativity" panel (also known as "Christ is Born as Man's Redeemer") from c. 1500, South Netherlandish (probably in Brussels), Burgos Tapestry was acquired by the museum in 1938. It was originally one of a series of eight tapestries representing the salvation of man, with individual scenes influenced by identifiable panel paintings, including by van der Weyden. It was badly damaged in earlier centuries: it had been cut into several irregular pieces and undergone several poor-quality restorations. The panel underwent a long process of restoration from 1971, undertaken by Tina Kane and Alice Blohm of the Metropolitan's Department of Textile Conservation. It is today hung in the Late Gothic hall.
Organized and curated by the family of Jean-Michel Basquiat, this exhibition of over 200 never-before-seen and rarely shown paintings, drawings, multimedia presentations, ephemera, and artifacts tell the story of Jean-Michel from an intimate perspective, intertwining his artistic endeavors with his personal life, influences, and the times in which he lived.
